Airman Davi Soares completes basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman Davi M. Soares recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Soares is a 2013 graduate of Naaman Forest High School.

About Lackland AFB: Lackland is the Air Force’s only site for enlisted basic military training for all non-prior service Airmen of the regular Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve. Lackland also offers professional and technical skills training and provides students from 117 countries the opportunity to increase their proficiency in the English language through its Defense Language Institute English Language Center.
