CVB to promote Garland at Southwest Showcase

Garland Convention & Visitors Bureau announces plans to host a trade show booth and participate as a sponsor at Southwest Showcase in Austin Thursday, Jan. 28 at the Austin Convention Center.

Southwest Showcase attracts meeting and conference planners and CEOs representing more than 300 Southwest-based trade and professional state associations, corporations and a variety of other organizations. This showcase offers a face-to-face opportunity for business and hospitality services to interact with clients regarding future meeting requirements.

For five years, the Garland CVB has participated in Southwest Showcase to engage with meeting professionals while representing the area stakeholders, including hotels, Curtis Culwell Center and other venues.

“With more than 350 attendees, Southwest Showcase provides the perfect setting for the Garland CVB to market Garland and our meeting venues to key decision makers in the meeting industry,” said Lucia Arrant, Garland Convention & Visitors Bureau Director.

The Garland CVB will promote the “Got You Covered from Head to Toe” theme with a giveaway of multicolored flip flops, as well as a grand prize drawing of a Resistol Cowboy hat, made in Garland.

The Garland Convention & Visitors Bureau: The Garland Convention & Visitors Bureau is the destination marketing organization for the city of Garland.  The CVB partners with hospitality and tourism stakeholders to position Garland as a destination for visitors, meetings, conferences and events.  Programs include marketing, advertising, media, business development, trade show promotion and conference planning.
