Diane Nored Teacher of the Month

Apr. 27, 2016

Jupiter Chevrolet’s Teacher of the Month SUV will stay at Back Elementary School for a second straight month. Nurse Diane Nored received the honors at the end of March. She was surprised with the automobile after walking out front of her campus to a group of cheering students and staff.

“Thank you so much. This was a total surprise,” she said. “I want to thank all the staff and students here. Also, thank you Jupiter Chevrolet. What a wonderful gift.”

Nored’s Teacher of the Month title came from winning Jupiter Chevrolet’s monthly Facebook poll. Assistant Principal Christopher Marshall said her numerous nominations and votes show the support of Back’s community.

“We are one big family here,” he said. “I have seen parents sharing information with their friends on Facebook trying to get them to vote. It is a huge community effort, and it is worth it because Nurse Nored is such a valuable asset. She does so much for our campus—everything from taking care of students and staff who are sick to making sure they are eating right. We could not live without her.”

Nored will drive the specially wrapped Chevy Equinox for 30 days before handing off the prize to next month’s winner. Want to see your school recognized and favorite educator honored? Cast your vote now for the last winner of 2015-16.
