Garland Civic Theatre is well into its 48th season of producing quality live theater for the enjoyment of audiences from throughout the Garland area. GCT strives to maintain affordable ticket prices for its productions, but ticket sales alone are never sufficient to cover the cost of producing the shows. Other avenues of raising funds to cover the cost of quality productions are always needed.
North Texas Giving Day is an online giving event that provides nonprofits the opportunity to gain exposure to and start relationships with new donors and for people in North Texas to come together to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits. North Texas’ incredible generosity has broken the national record three years in a row! After last year’s national record-crushing 75,000 donations totaling $26.3 million, North Texas Giving Day is back with the hopes that North Texas will raise the giving day bar once again to benefit more North Texas nonprofits. On September 17, donations of $25 or more can be made 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. to more than 2,100 certified nonprofits listed on www.NorthTexasGivingDay.org. Those donations will be amplified by more than $2 million dollars in bonus funds and prizes.

Season tickets are no longer available; however, you can now buy gift certificates at a discounted price. The certificate is good for two tickets to any show you choose. The price is only $35 and certificates can be ordered by calling the GCT business office at 972-485-8884. Gift certificates are also available at the “will call” table during GCT productions. Buy several; they are perfect gifts for that hard to buy for person in your life.
