Don’t miss GCT’s production of ‘Tenderly’

Oct. 6, 2016

Garland Civic Theatre is proud to present “Tenderly – The Rosemary Clooney Musical” by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman. Be transported back to an era where music was more elegant with the new and exciting bio-musical, “Tenderly.”  Join our actors and a jazz trio as we follow Rosemary Clooney’s journey from her simple Kentucky childhood through her rise to Hollywood stardom. Not a typical jukebox musical, “Tenderly” offers a fresh, remarkably personal and poignant picture of the woman whose unparalleled talent and unbridled personality made her a legend.

The talented cast features Whitney Rosenbalm as Rosemary Clooney and Steven J. Golin as The Doctor. The production is directed and designed by Kyle McClaran. Music is directed by Kevin Sutton and choreography is by Abi Abel. The stage manager is Katie Ussery.

Performances are Thursday, Oct. 13, through Saturday, Nov. 5, in the small theatre at the Granville Arts Center at 300 North Fifth Street in Garland. Performances include a Thursday night preview Oct. 13 at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees Oct. 23 and Oct. 30 at 2:30 p.m.
