The SNP’s mission is to provide healthy, nutritious meals to children in target neighborhoods, improve access to breakfast and lunch meals during the summer months and serve as a meal source for recreation centers, parks and churches that have organized activities. The SNP theme is Promoting the 3 Es of healthy living: Education, Exercise, and Eating Right.
The SNP provides free, nutritious meals to young adults with disabilities and children ages 1-18 when school is out for the summer. The 2015 Summer Nutrition Program is scheduled to run from June 8-Aug. 7. No registration or proof of income required. For a list of sites for the 2015 SNP, visit GarlandTx.gov.
