Garland Fire Captain David Gott recently earned Structural Collapse Level V certification as an Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Specialist from the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) and the Texas A&M University System.
This is no small accomplishment for Captain Gott, and it has taken him many years and more than 200 hours of class time to complete this certification. Gott is now one of 24 Texas graduates and one of 73 specialists in the world to have completed the course. Captain Gott is widely respected in the USAR community for his knowledge, skills and dedication.
