Toys for Tots is wrapping up another successful holiday season and this year, with help from the Garland community, First Choice Emergency Room collected more than 40,000 toys across all 62 of its facilities in Texas. The success of the Toys for Tots program depends on support from local communities and First Choice Emergency Room was proud to support this initiative.
The number of toys collected this year exceeded last year’s total by 10,000.
“The success of the Toys for Tots drive depends on the support from local communities,” said Thomas S. Hall, Chairman and CEO, Adeptus Health. “Thanks to their generosity, we collected approximately 30,000 toys across all of our facilities in 2014. We are proud to continue to support this wonderful initiative that brings joy to so many children during the holiday season.”
“We’re thankful for First Choice Emergency Room’s continued support of Toys for Tots,” said Staff Sergeant Robert Navarre, United States Marine Corp and active duty coordinator for the 2015 Toys for Tots Campaign.
The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program is the largest outreach program in the Department of Defense. The program collects and distributes an average of 16 million toys nationwide to nearly 7 million children each Christmas.
