First Choice ER gives back

Jun. 29, 2015

First Choice Emergency Room has been able to support three charitable organizations with great success including Toys for Tots, Operation Gratitude and the North Texas Food Bank because of the efforts of the local community. Now it is First Choice ER’s turn to give back to those who helped.

Stop by the Garland location at 7050 North Shiloh Road June 27-July 5 to pick up a summer “survival kit” just in time for the July 4th holiday.

The kit includes:

Sun Block: Protect skin from a Texas sunburn! Dermatologists recommend an SPF of 15 or higher for all skin types and the higher the SPF, the better.

Bug Spray: Keep bugs away with an insect repellant that contains DEET, a pale-yellow oil that repels mosquitoes. Also steer clear of standing water!

Sunglasses: Sunglasses protect against UV rays that can cause cataracts and skin cancer around the eyelids all while providing comfortable vision.

Sanitizer Wipes: Protect the family against germs while traveling this summer on the airplane or public transit; at the amusement park; or before a meal.

First Choice Emergency Room is the nation’s leading freestanding emergency room system and serves local communities across Texas. Its facilities are innovative, freestanding and fully equipped emergency rooms with state-of-the-art diagnostic technology (CT Scanners, Ultrasound, Digital X-ray) and on-site labs. With 22 locations in Dallas/Ft. Worth, residents are accommodated by conveniently located facilities around the area.

*Summer “survival kits” available to the first 50 community members at each facility.
