Xavier Tyrell Smith and Erica Uribe were taken into custody yesterday for the murder of 40-year-old Eber Avilez whose body was found behind a building in the 3100 block of Lamesa Drive May 16.
Erica was arrested in Dallas and Xavier was arrested in Marshall, Texas. Police detectives believe Erica lured Avilez to the back of the building while Xavier waited there to rob him. Detectives also believe that during the robbery, Xavier shot and killed Eber Avilez.
Uribe is currently in the Garland Detention Center and charged with Capital Murder. Her bond is 1,000,000. Smith has been transported from Marshall to Garland and is charged with Capital Murder. His bond is set at $1,000,000.
