The beginning of the high school basketball season brought a 48-44 South Garland Colonels victory over the Garland Owls in a Nov. 17 game.
As SGHS high scorer of the game, T. Maxey was responsible for 25 of the Colonel points. J. Wakefield was the high scorer for the Owls with 12 points.
The Sachse Mustangs got a 43-42 win over Plano’s John Paul II HS Nov. 20. M. Macadory scored 12 points for SHS and T. Collins got nine points.
