Tornado relief continues as organized volunteers remain in damaged areas completing work orders. However, volunteers are not being coordinated through the city of Garland. Garland Building Inspection continues to operate Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. from the Mobile Permitting Site on the corner of Kelso and Bobtown.
The Recovery Assistance Center at Granger Recreation Center has closed, but survivors seeking assistance with recovery needs may contact St. Vincent de Paul caseworkers at 469-607-0909 or through 2-1-1. The Donations Center remains operational at the Granger Recreation Center Annex.
First Baptist Church-Friendship House has partnered with the city to set up a hotline at 469-429-2589 to address immediate recovery needs of survivors. Case managers are assigned to follow up with survivors.
