Man dies after stabbing

Saturday, Oct. 22, at 12:45 a.m., The Garland Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing in an apartment complex located in the 4300 block of Rosehill Road. When officers arrived they observed an unresponsive male subject lying on the ground outside. Garland Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Baylor of Dallas where he later died.

While officers were conducting their investigation a male subject approached them and admitted he was responsible for the victim’s stab wounds. He was identified as 25-year-old Byron Keana Jones of Ferris.

Witnesses stated that Jones was the boyfriend of the victim’s step-daughter.

The victim has been identified as 44-year-old Michael Webb of Garland.

The investigation is ongoing.

Jones was arrested and charged with Murder. He is currently in the Garland Detention Center with no bond.
