Garland Police responded to the report of a shooting at a residence in the 1700 block of Whiteoak Drive August 7 just after 9 p.m. Upon their arrival they found a 24-year-old male who had been shot.
The man was transported by ambulance to Baylor Hospital of Garland where he was pronounced dead. Detectives are investigating the death as a murder. No arrests have been made.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time pending notifications.
