Garland police officers responded to a disturbance at a home in the 4500 block of Lakeway Dr. Sept. 11 around 2 am. When officers arrived they found 65-year-old Ronnie Debusk dead inside his home. No one else was present when officers arrived.
Detectives were called to the scene to investigate the death. Detectives are working the death as a murder and are working with the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.
A murder warrant was issued for 41-year-old Steven Debusk, the son of Ronnie Debusk.
Steven Debusk turned himself in later in the day and is being charged with murder and his bond is set at $500,000.
