NFHS advances in playoffs

The Naaman Forest Rangers defeated Mesquite High School in two games last week, 3-0 and 7-1 to take the area title. NFHS will compete next at the quarterfinals level.

Their opponent will be the Richardson High School Eagles. The first game is Thursday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. at McKinney Boyd located at 600 North Lake Forest Drive in McKinney.

Game two is Friday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m. at a location to be determined later.

The third game, if necessary, will be Saturday, May 21 at 12 p.m. at Richardson High School located at 1250 West Belt Line Road in Richardson.

NFHS baseball background

Naaman Forest High School has a baseball rich history. The Rangers were co-district champions in 1998. Additionally, they were district champions in 2004, 2006, and 2013, as well as 2016.

Additional scores for last week

Rowlett High School’s Eagles’ and Lady Eagles’ playoff runs ended last week. The Eagles lost at the area level to Highland Park High School in two games, 4-3 and 2-1. The Lady Eagles were defeated by Belton High School in the quarterfinals round in two games. The scores were 10-0 and 5-2.
