Henry A. Hubbard was born on October 15, 1926 in Donna, Texas to Harry and Lessie Hubbard. He grew up on Hutto Road in Donna. He married Ida Ritter, and they shared their time between their mountain cabin near Durango, Colorado and Dallas, Texas, where they enjoyed their many friends on both ends. He was a loving and dependable person, devoted to the wellbeing of his family and friends, providing generous and humble support where it was needed. They moved to Houston in March 2015 and Ida continues to live at the Arbor Terrace. Henry was surrounded by his family as he passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016, in Houston, at the age of 89 years. He will be missed by each of us.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ida Mae Hubbard; his loving children, Bradford Scot Hubbard and his wife Donna; grandchildren, Leslie Spellins and her husband Andy, and their children Ryan, Macey, and Aly; Valerie Hopkins and her husband, Mark, and their children, Paige and Kate, and Stephen Hubbard; and his miracle dog, Marble.
A memorial service will be held Monday, 14 March 2016, at 2:00 pm, at Arbor Terrace, 24001 Cinco Village Center Blvd, Katy, Texas, with Dr. Charles Wisdom officiating.
