State seeks tornado damage information

Feb. 15, 2016

The city of Garland was notified Feb. 12 that Dallas County and five other Texas counties were denied federal Individual Assistance following the Dec. 26, 2015 tornado. The federal government review indicated our region had not met the minimum threshold for severity and magnitude.

Governor Gregg Abbott has 30 days to appeal this decision. As part of the appeals process, the state of Texas is collecting damage and insurance information related to the tornadoes.

If you suffered property or vehicle damage or were injured as a result of that storm, complete the survey at https://www.research.net/r/DECTORNADO before Feb. 28.
