Dallas Harley-Davidson on Centerville Road in Garland hosted two special visitors and helped raise funds for a great cause Saturday, Dec. 27.
Adam Sandoval and his dog Scooter stopped in at the Garland location as a part of their 365-day quest to visit all of the Harley-Davidson dealerships in the lower 48 states. Funds are being raised for the American Legion Scholarship fund throughout the trip to help provide the opportunity for higher education to the children of those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. All donations – 100 percent – will go straight to the charity.
In addition to raising funds, Sandoval hopes to bring attention to the children of fallen soldiers and the challenges they face.
“We were very excited to welcome Adam and Scooter to our dealership and can’t praise 
him enough for what he is doing to help the children of fallen soldiers,” Lorraine Delsi, Dallas Harley Davidson marketing manager said. “His generosity and spirit is amazing. We wish him and Scooter the best of luck and safe travels on his journey.”
The duo will visit more than 695 dealerships and travel approximately 65,000 miles on this journey. Other riders are invited to join the trip for as long as they like for a daily contribution of $5 to the charity.
Sandoval, who has logged mo
re than 70,000 miles on his bike during his lifetime, is also a mixed martial arts expert. He has opened several MMA training centers and promoted more than 70 MMA events. In addition, he is a member of an organization that hopes to make amateur MMA an Olympic sport.
Scooter, Sandoval’s 6-year-old Chihuahua has traveled more than 20,000 miles riding with Sandoval.
The trip is being documented by the producers of other reality shows such as American Idol, Monster Garage and Pit Bulls and Parolees.
