The Sachse High School varsity drill team, the Swingsters, won numerous awards at the American Dance and Drill Team Gussie Nell Davis Dance Classic at Gussie Nell Davis Dance Classic College.
Among the awards won was the getpoms.com Giving Back Award for their community service efforts after the devastating tornado that hit Garland and Rowlett. The drill team members spent hundreds of volunteer hours helping families by running errands, cleaning up, giving gift cards and more. Other awards include:
