Garland police officers arrested and charged 28-year-old Jorge Luis Pineda Urtado of Garland for Failure to Stop and Render Aid – Involving Death. Investigators followed up on leads that took them to a Garland address where the vehicle was located. Further investigation led police to believe that Urtado was the driver of the Mustang.
The hit and run occurred Jan. 30 in the 2400 block of W. Kingsley Road where a female pedestrian was struck and killed by a gold Ford Mustang convertible with a black top that had fled the location.
Pineda Urtado was been released on a $10,000 bond.
