The spectacular Garland Summer Musicals 2016 season will begin in June with the Tony Award-winning, Broadway and film classic “Fiddler on the Roof.”
Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores.
“Fiddler on the Roof” performance dates and times are: Fridays and Saturdays, June 17-18 and June 24-25 at 8 p.m., Sundays, June 19 and June 26 at 2:30 p.m.
The second production of 2016 is the new Gershwin comic delight “Nice Work If You Can Get It.”
Set in 1927, romance and mistaken identities combined with Gershwin’s amazing score produce a song and dance sensation! This production includes hit songs: “Someone To Watch Over Me,” “Fascinating Rhythm,” “Nice Work If You Can Get It,” “Do It Again,” “But Not For Me,” “I’ve Got A Crush On You,” “Lady Be Good” and many more.
“Nice Work If You Can Get It” performance dates and times are: Fridays and Saturdays, July 22-23 and July 29-30 at 8 p.m., Sundays, July 24 and July 31 at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are also available in person at the Granville Arts Center box office which is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and two hours before each performance.
Since 1983, GSM has provided entertaining, professional, quality productions to patrons of the arts in the North Texas Area. The first summer musical productions of its debut season were “Carnival” and “Songwriter.”
