Another great Urban Flea Market drew lots of folks to downtown Garland Saturday, June 11. Everyone enjoyed food, entertainment and exceptional shopping.
There were most likely more first-timers there because Resurrected Designs owner Emily Low, along with Karin Wiseman, appeared on WFAA’s Friday, June 10, edition of “Good Morning Texas” to talk about the event.
A few of the hand-picked Urban Flea vendors also appeared on the show to preview the items they would be selling. In addition to discussing the market, Low talked about the revitalization that is going on in downtown Garland.
She said that the Urban Flea is a “crazy idea that actually worked,” and she’s right. It works very well. She and Wiseman have put in countless hours to produce a quality market and their efforts are evident not only in the caliber of the vendors and merchandise, but also in the overall feel of the event. They’ve managed to put together a variety of fun activities but at the same time, retain a laid back atmosphere.
The market will take a break from the Texas heat in July and August and be back Sept. 10, Oct. 8 and Nov. 12.
