Cadet Cody Guerry, son of Tony and Kay Guerry of Garland and brother of Rachel, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy May 21.
Guerry graduated from Naaman Forest High School in 2011 in the top 10 percent of his class. While at West Point, he concentrated his studies in engineering management while also playing on the soccer team. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the Armor branch and will report to West Point and the United States Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS), for his first assignment as head soccer coach. Lt. Guerry will then report to Ft. Benning, Georgia, for his basic officer leaders’ course.
