The South Garland Colonels continued in the high school basketball playoffs over the weekend.
They got a win in the regional semifinals game Friday, March 1, against Spring High School. The score was 63-47. Tyrese Maxey scored 25 points for SGHS and Chris Harris, Jr. scored 13.
The Colonels’ hopes for a state championship ended Saturday, March 2, when they fell 64-53 to Klein Forest High School in the regional finals game. Tyrese Maxey again scored 25 points and Chris Harris, Jr. scored 14.
Both games were played at Ellis Davis Field House in Dallas.
