Frances Virginia Pounds Gosnell, 79, of Garland, Texas, formerly of Hamburg, Arkansas, died July 31, 2019 at the Methodist Richardson Hospital in Richardson, Texas.
Frances was born November 25, 1939 to J. E. Pounds and Virginia Golden Pounds in Hamburg. She graduated from Hamburg High School in 1958, where she was a cheerleader, homecoming maid, Miss Hamburg and Miss Sunset 1957. Frances has been a resident of the Dallas area for over 50 years. She was an artist, an art teacher and an active member of the Garland art community. Frances also enjoyed gardening.
She is preceded in death by her parents, J. E. and Virginia Pounds, one sister, Betty Sue Chapman, three brothers, Jack Pounds, Johnny Ralph Pounds and Fay Pounds, and one son, David Gosnell.
Frances is survived by her husband, Tommy Gosnell and one son, Greg Gosnell of Garland; one sister, Gwen Fischer and a host of nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service to honor Frances’ life to be scheduled at a later date.
