If you missed out on the inaugural Garland Guzzler 0.5K Race last year, don’t despair. The event is coming back to downtown Garland this month and will be better than ever.
That’s right underachievers, the city of Garland will host the second Garland Guzzler 0.5K Race on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Downtown Garland Square. That’s no typo; this is a POINT 5K which is only…546 yards, 500 meters or 1,638 feet and we want to see you there!
Get up off the couch, brush the crumbs off your pajama pants, and register for the race today!
This is an event that you will not want to miss! After the race, enjoy an Oktoberfest environment that includes live music, contests, games for all ages and vendors with great food and drinks.
After the race, join your fellow racers for an evening of Oktoberfest themed, games, food and live music.
This event is a dog-friendly event, so bring your best friend in their best costume to help you “run” across the finish line!
Oktoberfest festivities will start at 6 p.m.
0.5K Race starts at 6:30 p.m.
Live music and festivities end at 9 p.m.
You will have an awesome time with the Journey Tribute Band, “Escape”. They will be rocking the Guzzler stage all night long with your favorite Journey hits like, “Wheel in the Sky,” “Lights,” and more. Register today for the race and stay for the party!
Bring your friends, relatives, or acquaintances to the shortest race of their lives. Don’t forget your appetites, as there will be food and drinks available for purchase on-site. Costumes are highly encouraged, if not required.
