The city of Garland has named Judson Rex as assistant city manager for Planning & Economic Development. He will oversee city departments that participate in planning, economic development and redevelopment activities.
For the past five years, Judson has served as city manager for the city of Denison, Texas. Before joining Denison, Judson served as the town manager in Strasburg, Virginia, for five years. His more than 10 years of combined experience features extensive experience in planning and economic development. Judson holds a bachelor’s degree in Planning and Resource Management from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Ohio State University. Judson will begin his tenure with the city of Garland Jan. 4.
