During the duration of the winter weather event, the city of Garland encourages residents to avoid unnecessary travel. To help with necessary travel, the Garland Street Department will have crews operating around the clock to sand bridges and major intersections during freezing weather. If time and resources allow, crews will also sand minor intersections and inclines.
Please continue to monitor the city’s website and social media outlets for information about closures and service updates.
