After the announcement of the indictment of Garland Police Officer Joe Privitt by the Dallas County Grand Jury, the Texas Municipal Police Association (TMPA) issued the press release below. TMPA’s statement reflects complete confidence in Officer Privitt and indicates that they believe that the indictment is unfounded. It further states that Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot’s actions are more about political grandstanding than protecting the citizens of Dallas County. The TMPA statement also asks when D.A. Creuzot intends to indict and prosecute “the anarchists who chose to riot.”
