The Garland Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 24-year-old man. On July 23, at approximately 4:15 a.m., GPD dispatch received a call of a gunshot disturbance from an apartment community in the 2800 block of North Shiloh Road. Garland police officers responded to the location and discovered a male subject in a dark-colored SUV, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The male subject showed no signs of life and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Garland Fire Department personnel.
Homicide investigators responded to the scene and are investigating the incident as a murder. The male victim has not been identified pending next of kin notification.
