Update: Homicide detectives have arrested Garland residents Christopher Sagrero 17 and Jose Sagrero 19, who are brothers, for their part in the January 21 shooting incident. Both are currently in the Dallas County jail charged with one count each for Murder.
One victim is still in the hospital, in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
On Jan. 21, at approximately 4:25 p.m. GPD officers responded to a weapons disturbance call in the 400 block of South Forest Crest Drive. The caller stated that multiple persons had been shot and that the suspects involved had left the area.
Garland Police Department officers and Garland Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene and started assessing the situation. The responding officers determined that 
one victim had left the scene and had been transported to a hospital by private means. The second victim was transported to a hospital by Garland Paramedics. Both subjects were listed in critical condition.
Garland Detectives arrived on the scene and started their preliminary investigation.
Monday, Jan. 23, GPD investigators were informed that one of the victims, 24-year-old Moises Flores, of Dallas, had died from his injury.
This is an ongoing investigation. GPD homicide detectives are in the process of identifying all involved and effecting arrests.
