The Andersen Corporate Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of its spring 2023 grant round, including organizations in the Garland area. The foundation announced grant commitments totaling more than $2.3 million to 85 nonprofit organizations in its first of two grant rounds this year.
Funding decisions in the Garland area are guided by a committee of local Andersen employees, ensuring that grantmaking supports areas of local priority. Organizations that received grants include:
- Construction Industry Education Foundation
- $15,000 to support high school students pursue careers in the construction industry and the skilled trades
- Back on My Feet
- $10,000 to support key ongoing program expenses, including, job training, upskilling training, financial literacy and empowerment workshops, the hiring of skills specialists and one-on-one coaching facilitations
Andersen has a longstanding history of supporting communities in which employees live and work. As part of this $2.3 million in grant commitments announced, the Andersen Corporate Foundation has pledged $1 million over the next four years to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s Build Forward Together campaign, supporting Habitat’s work to break down barriers to homeownership.
