David Elmer Hochstein was born on June 1, 1942, in Lakefield, MN, to Elmer George Hochstein and Louise (McCallister) Hochstein. He departed from this world on March 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
David grew up in Minnesota where he helped on the family farm. He enlisted in the Navy and proudly served his country from 1960 to 1968. After his service in the Navy, David enjoyed a fulfilling career in Aviation. He spent his last career with the City of Garland, working in the Parks and Recreation department, retiring after 25 years. David enjoyed working and spending time outdoors and had a passion for fishing.
David is survived by his children: Angela Abraham and husband Todd, Dawn Raverty and husband Kent, Michelle Eagen and husband Kelly, and Dave Hochstein and wife Sheree. His family also includes ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two fur grandchildren; all of whom brought joy and pride to his life.
In his passing, David was preceded by his wife Sara, his parents, siblings, and faithful dog Dusty; reunited with them in eternal peace.
