Garland Owl football standout, Texas Longhorn and current NFL player Adrian Phillips is hosting multiple programs to launch his
new foundation, the L.A.K.E. Foundation.
On Thursday, April 11, Phillips and his family served their community at 5 Loaves food pantry outside of Garland, Texas. Helping those with limited food resources is a pillar of the L.A.K.E. Foundation. Phillips got a tour of the food pantry and assisted packing boxes of food for the patrons. He then helped pass out the food and connected with volunteers and patrons to learn more about how 5 Loaves impacts the community of Garland and how he can continue to support them.
On Thursday, July 11, the L.A.K.E. Foundation will host their official Launch Party. It is a three-hour event beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Topgolf in Dallas, Texas. It will include tournament style play, games, complimentary food and beverages, and a silent auction.
This event serves as a launch event for the L.A.K.E. Foundation. It is an opportunity for Phillips to share the mission of his foundation with the Dallas community. Tickets to the event can be purchased at LAKEFoundation.givesmart.com.
On Friday, July 12, the L.A.K.E. Foundation will be hosting a free football skills camp at Garland High School. Information about registration will be available soon on the website www.lakefoundation21.org.
The L.A.K.E. Foundation is dedicated to lifting up its community. Its mission is to help those with limited food resources, assist through athletics, create kindness in the community, and elevate through education. The L.A.K.E Foundation held its first giveback program in December of 2023 with the Boys and Girls Club in Marlborough, New England. 21 children received a holiday present from their wish list.
Adrian Phillips is an NFL player from Garland, Texas. He played for the Texas Longhorns before being drafted to the NFL in 2013. He has played for the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers and the New England Patriorts. In 2018, he was named first team All-Pro and named to the Pro Bowl. Adrian met his wife, Camille, when they were both students at the University of Texas. Camille is a pediatrician. The couple got married in 2017 and have two children, Dylan and Ryan.
