**Update** Male Discovered Deceased in Creek Identified
Garland detectives have confirmed the identity of the deceased male discovered in the creek on April 21 as 43-year-old Roderick Glenn Harrien, a resident of Allen.
Although there is no apparent evidence of foul play, this investigation remains ongoing, and we are awaiting the findings of the toxicology report from the medical examiner.

Update: On Sunday, April 21, 2024, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Garland Police and Fire personnel were alerted to a body found in a creek beneath a bridge near West Campbell Road and Water Oak Drive.
Upon reaching the scene, teams from Garland Police and Fire located the body of an adult male among debris in the water. Given recent flooding in the area, investigators suspect the individual may have drifted downstream from a point north of the discovery site.
Working in collaboration with the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office, detectives are awaiting comprehensive reports to pinpoint the cause of death. Preliminary findings suggest no evident signs of foul play; however, the Medical Examiner is still waiting on the results of toxicology.
The deceased male remains unidentified, and the Garland Police Department is asking for the public’s help. The individual appears to be a white or Hispanic male, estimated to be in his 40’s or 50’s, six (6) feet tall, and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He also has several distinct tattoos.

Sunday, April 21, just after 10:30 a.m., Garland Police Department officers responded to a creek waterway near West Campbell Road and Water Oak Drive to the report of a deceased person located under a bridge.
The Garland Fire Department and Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office arrived on the scene to remove debris surrounding the body to ensure a thorough investigation was completed. Officers on the scene confirmed the individual to be an adult male.
It is too early in the investigation to determine any facts surrounding the events leading to the death of the person. We are waiting for the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office to find the cause of death and the identity of the individual.
