The high school football bi-district round of playoffs took place Thursday, Nov. 14 and Friday, Nov. 15. One of the high schools from District 9-6A, the Wylie East Raiders, won in this round and will advance to the area round.
The Naaman Forest Rangers were defeated by Longview High School Friday, Nov. 15 by a score of 23-13. Rangers’ quarterback DeAngelo Perales completed 20 of 34 pass attempts for 208 yards and a touchdown. The pass was caught by Brody Perales. Perales also rushed for a score.
The Sachse Mustangs lost to Rockwall High School by a score of 50-17 Friday, Nov. 15. SHS quarterback Dirk Williams, Jr. threw for 92 yards and two TDs, and both were caught by Santana Quinn. Brendon Haygood carried the ball 10 times for 71 yards. The Mustangs also added a field goal.
Also on Friday, Nov. 15, Wylie East High School got a 35-28 victory over Forney High School and Wylie High School was defeated by North Forney High School by a score of 63-21.
Wylie East HS will play DeSoto HS Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. at McKinney ISD Stadium.
