Don’t miss ‘a rockin’ Elvis Christmas’

Kick off the holiday season rockin’ and singin’ with the production of “a Rockin’ Elvis Christmas” at the Plaza Theatre, 521 West State Street in Garland Sunday, Dec. 2 at 3 p.m.

 

“a Rockin’ Elvis Christmas” starring Elvis tribute artists Victor Treviño Jr., Gib Maynard and Moses Snow is backed by ‘Ken Savage & the Best Kept Secret Band’ and featuring Kay Shannon (Priscilla Presley look-alike), Shake, Rattle & Roll (Las Vegas Doo-Wop Group winners) and Santa John. Rock into the Christmas Holiday Spirit with some of the King’s greatest Christmas carols, gospel songs and we can’t leave out Elvis’ greatest hits.

 

The show opens with tribute to the first Christmas album, “Elvis Christmas Album” released in October 1957 recorded at Radio Recorders in Hollywood. Enjoy Elvis’ classic early Christmas hits like “Santa Claus is Back in Town,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “Peace in the Valley” plus many more.

 

In October 1971 Elvis released his second and final Christmas-themed album, “Elvis Sings the Wonderful World of Christmas”. Enjoy songs like “It Won’t Seem Like Christmas (Without You),” “If I Get Home on Christmas Day,” “Merry Christmas Baby” and many more.

 

Shake Rattle & Roll, a national and locally recognized 50 & 60s tribute show group, kicks off the show with their high energy tunes. The Las Vegas Doo-Wop winners will take you on the ride of your lives with their toe-tappin’, twisting mix of rock and roll, comedy and Christmas tunes.

 

Special guests are Kay Shannon, a Priscilla Presley look-alike and Santa John. Both are sure to add surprises to the show!
