An unnamed Garland ISD employee has been placed on administrative leave for allegedly taking photos of a female Abbett Elementary School student in the restroom.
The district sent an email to parents of Abbett ES students April 1 explaining that the Garland ISD Administration, along with the Garland Police Department, had immediately launched an investigation. Additionally, the employee was placed on administrative leave.
The correspondence also said, “Garland will continue to fully cooperate with law enforcement authorities. In order to maintain the integrity of the investigation, and to protect student privacy, the Garland Police Department will conduct the investigation.”
