Adoptable dogs journey to new homes

Dec. 20, 2018

About 30 Garland Animal Shelter dogs are on a nearly 2,000 mile trek to Washington and Idaho. Shelters and humane societies in those states are in need of animals to adopt.  Thanks to a generous and caring shelter supporter, local pets will soon have the opportunity to find forever homes in the Northwest.

No Stress Pet Express, a San Antonio based company that specializes in safely transporting animals across the country, picked up the dogs from the Garland Animal Shelter this morning and are expected to arrive at their new homes on Dec. 21 and 22. They will immediately be put up for adoption.

Garland Animal Services hopes to continue working with these shelters and humane societies to provide and transport more Garland dogs and cats to the Northwest.
