Altrusa awards scholarship

Jun. 2, 2019

Altrusa International of Garland was proud to award the Altrusa Scholarship for 2019 to D’Yonne West, a 2019 graduate of Garland High School. She plans to attend Prairie View A&M where she will major in chemistry and a minor in biology.

West and her mother, Kimberly Gadson, were presented with the scholarship at the Altrusa 2019 President’s Banquet in May. Fundraising activities throughout the year are applied toward this scholarship, which is awarded to one student in the Garland Independent School District each year.
