The Andersen Corporate Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of its spring 2024 grant round, including organizations in the Garland area. The foundation announced grant commitments totaling more than $1.17 million to 87 nonprofit organizations in its second of two grant rounds this year.
Funding decisions in the Garland area are guided by a committee of local Andersen employees, ensuring that grantmaking supports areas of local priority. Organizations that received grants include:
- Bridge Breast Center, Inc.
- $10,000 – To support individuals living in Garland with breast health education, patient navigation, access to mammography services, and breast cancer treatment and/or survivorship services
- MAP International
- $5,000 – To enhance the capacity of two free and charitable health clinics in Garland by providing free medicine and health supplies
- Salvation Army of North Texas
- $5,000 – To support their homeless prevention program which gives clients immediate relief from financial crises through rental and utility assistance, as well as tools and skills to obtain self-sufficiency
“We are thrilled to have supported nearly 90 organizations in our spring grant round, including Bridge Breast Center, Inc., MAP International and The Salvation Army of North Texas. By investing in health and housing access, we help create lasting, positive impacts in our community,” said Eliza Chlebeck, vice president of communications and community at Andersen.
The Andersen Corporate Foundation was established in 1941 with the mission to improve lives and strengthen communities where Andersen employees live and work. Since then, the foundation has donated over $70 million to worthy causes in the areas of housing, health, hunger relief and education.
