Arbor House welcomes first responders for cookout

Apr. 4, 2018

Arbor House of Garland, assisted living and memory care community, has been open since November 2016. Their goal is to give new meaning to life for residents and their families.

To honor those brave men and women that risk their lives every day to ensure that everyone else is safe, Arbor House held a First Responders cookout March 23. Residents and staff at the facility wanted to express gratitude and appreciation and decided to host this event in honor of the Garland area first responders. They served grilled hamburgers and hotdogs.

Garland police, EMTs and firefighters attended the event and expressed how thankful they were for our community expressing appreciation. Glenn Johnson, a Garland fire chief, attended the event and visited with many of the facility’s residents. The first responders’ presence made the residents happy and thankful and they were glad they could help spread thanks and love to all.
