Bi-district playoff games recap

Results for the bi-district round of playoffs for District 9-6A ended in losses for the Sachse Mustangs, Naaman Forest Rangers and Wylie East Raiders. The Wylie Pirates will advance to the area round of playoffs.

Division 1, Region 2 – The Sachse Mustangs lost to Rockwall High School at Sanders-Wilkerson Stadium in Rockwall Friday, Nov. 11. The score was 50-24. The Mustangs’ quarterback, Brenden George completed 12 of 22 pass attempts for 181 yards. Kaliq Lockett caught five of George’s throws for 145 yards. George also ran for a Mustang touchdown, and Brendon Haygood added a rushing score. On defense, C.J. Wells scored on an interception return. The Mustangs also added a 37-yard field goal.

Division 2, Region 2 – The Naaman Forest Rangers were defeated by Royse City High School at Royse ISD Stadium Friday, Nov. 11. The final score was 45-14. Rangers’ QB Deangelo Perales was 11-27 on the night with 103 yards and one TD throw. Chance Ables, who had five catches for 34 yards, caught the Perales’ touchdown pass. Isaiah Cunning carried the ball 26 times for 123 yards and a score.

Division 2, Region 2 – The Wylie East Raiders were defeated by Rockwall Heath High School at Wylie ISD Stadium Friday, Nov. 11. The final score was 23-16.

Division 1, Region 2 – The Wylie Pirates got a win over Mesquite Horn High School for the bi-district title. The game was played at Allen Eagles Stadium Friday, Nov. 1. The score was Wylie 21 and Mesquite Horn 11.

The Pirates will meet Duncanville HS in the area round of playoffs Friday, Nov. 18 at McKinney ISD Stadium, 4201 South Hardin Boulevard in McKinney. Click Here for Google Maps.
