Big Art Day comes to downtown Garland

Big Art Day, an outdoor art education event, hosted by the city of Garland and Garland ISD, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18. The event will go from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The event will include exhibits of numerous types of art at the Plaza Theatre, Garland’s Central Library, Landmark Museum at Heritage Crossing, The Foundry Church, Intrinsic Smokehouse & Brewing, Rosalind Coffee, The Frocksy, Momentum Tattoo and on the downtown square.

In addition, attendees have the opportunity to enjoy live performances at the Plaza Theatre, Landmark Museum at Heritage Crossing, Foundry Church as well as the downtown square.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars now and join us for Big Art Day. The event will feature:

  • a community mural
  • live music and dance
  • steamroller art
  • make and take art
  • chalk art
  • the first annual Art Walk
  • and so much more!

Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

Bring your own T-shirt printing will also be available. A limited number of shirts will be available for sale at $5 each.
