Brothers share outstanding achievement

Mar. 8, 2020

William and Jakob Wonson were awarded their Eagle Scout rank at a Court of Honor held March 1 attended by friends and family at the North Garland building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The brothers have been active in the church-sponsored Troop 2121.

Although William and Jakob followed in the footsteps of two older brothers, their dad and six uncles, the brothers each completed his own unique service project. William focused on 5 Loaves Food Pantry of Sachse and organized a food drive that provided two truckloads of food to benefit needy families. Jakob documented the Wylie Cemetery for Billion Graves by taking pictures of the gravestones as well as recording the information and GPS locations.

William attends Hudson Middle School in Sachse and plays the oboe. He enjoys various sports. Jakob is a junior at Sachse HS and active in the band.
