Elvis Aaron Presley, an American singer and actor, regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century is often referred to as the King of Rock and Roll Music or simply “the King.” The “Celebration of Elvis” production is a musical story of Elvis Aaron Presley through four of his eras.

Moses Snow, a 15-year-old ETA shining star, performs his renditions of the July 18, 1953, recordings of “My Happiness” and “That’s When Your Heartaches Begin” recorded by Elvis Presley at Sun Records for his mother, Gladys Presley. Moses continues his tribute to the “King of Rock and Roll” through Elvis’ early years with songs such as “That’s All Right (Mama),” recorded on July 5, 1954, with Scotty Moore and Bill Black, “Heartbreak Hotel” and more.
Raised by a musical family in East Texas, Gib Maynard’s love for Elvis and his music began at the age of six and continued when Gib’s granny, Fay Roach, made him his first Elvis jumpsuit. Gib’s looks, moves and voice will bring the “Elvis at the Movies” set to life. Gib will perform many of the ’Kings’ classic movie songs including such favorites as “Mean Women Blues, “Jailhouse Rock” and many more.
Gib Maynard in the third set recreates the excitement of “the King’s” wilder years. Gib will pay tribute to Elvis’ 1968 acclaimed television comeback special “Elvis” which aired December 3, 1968. Gib dressed in black leather performs versions of Elvis’ favorite songs in a casual jam session performing hits “Lawdy Miss Clawdy”, “Trouble,” “Guitar Man.”

Kraig Parker, Gib Maynard and Moses Snow backed by Brad Swiger’s Edge of Realty Band grand finale will bring the audience to their feet clapping and cheering!
The August 26 production of “Celebration of Elvis” is a 3 p.m. matinee at the Plaza Theatre in Historic Downtown Garland. An ‘After Party’ follows the show at Intrinsic Smokehouse & Brewery. Everyone is invited.
