Noon Exchange Club members enjoyed hearing from guest speaker Diana Siegler at their Wednesday, Jan. 10 meeting. Siegler works with Friends of Rescue Animals, a 501c3 organization that works to save abandoned animals. She explained that the organization has animal fostering programs that enable them to provide care, comfort and compassion to animals in need. And at the same time, they engage the hearts, hands and minds of our community to bring about an end to the killing of abandoned and orphaned shelter animals.
Noon Exchange Club members appreciated hearing from Diana, and some members said that they are already foster parents to a number of dogs from their local shelters.
Noon Exchange has a variety of projects planned for the near future that promote the organization’s ideals and values. The club is welcoming interested individuals who want to make a difference in the community. The program subjects and activities presented by the Noon Exchange Club include Americanism, community service, youth activities and the prevention of child abuse.
The club meets on Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m. at Ernesto’s Mexican Restaurant located at 1518 Northwest Highway. Each week the club presents knowledgeable speakers on a variety of subjects.
