Members of the Citizens Firefighters Club of Garland were proud to award three scholarships to children of Garland firefighters.
The awards were distributed at the club’s June 22 meeting as both the recipients and their parents gathered at the Fire Department Administration Building.
The three scholarship recipients are:
Cody Fennell, a graduate of Whitesboro High School, is son of firefighter James and Rebecca Fennell. He will be attending the University of North Texas.
Cory Saffell, daughter of retired firefighter Aaron and Kelly Saffell, recently graduated from Van Alstyne High School and will be attending Grayson Community College.
Quinton Scott Harris, a graduate Howe High School, is the son of firefighter Steven Scott and Kandy Harris. He will attend Texas A&M Commerce.
