The city broke ground on the Bob Day Tennis Complex, 1801 State Highway 66, at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12. Watch the video!
The Bob Day Tennis Complex will be within 62.5-acre Tuckerville Park. The facility will include:
- A 3,700-square-foot pro shop
- 12 tennis courts, featuring two premier courts with terraced spectator seating
- Spectator pavilion
- Food truck bays
- Picnic areas
- Perimeter fencing for controlled access
- Site and court lighting
- Sidewalk and trail connections to adjacent neighborhoods
Construction is estimated to take 18 to 20 months. Former Mayor Dr. Bob Day and members of the Tucker family were in attendance at the groundbreaking.
